Tax Time Connect is a new initiative between the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) and Bank On Louisville’s Banking Access work. The goal is to help Louisville residents file their taxes and create a bank account with a certified financial institution, if they don’t have one already. While some tax preparation services can charge upwards of $800, Tax Time Connect works to keep that money within the household and the community.
VITA tax preparation began on January 18, and tax season ends on April 16.
