Kroger Partnership

Kroger and Bank On Louisville Food and Financial Access Program

Bank On Louisville is partnering with the Kroger Company to extend financial empowerment services across the city.

From July through October, Bank On provided on-site outreach at five Kroger Mobile Market locations in areas that have limited access to fresh food. Customers of these markets had the opportunity to access various financial empowerment services such as financial education, connection to safe and affordable bank accounts, and the opportunity to schedule financial counseling sessions. See the report below for information about the impact of Mobile Market outreach last year.

During the colder winter months, the Bank On team is continuing to provide financial empowerment services to Kroger customers with in-store outreach. Kroger customers are connected to resources including Bank On Certified bank accounts, services like financial counseling through Louisville’s Financial Empowerment Center, and information about free tax preparation through the Louisville Asset Building Coalition’s VITA program.
