Start Fresh! Workshops

Bank On Louisville’s Start Fresh! is a FREE workshop for people with negative (non-fraud) banking histories, are in ChexSystems, or are banking for the first time. It will help you gain new information and tools to use Certified safe and affordable accounts. This workshop will help you understand what makes a bank account safe, affordable, and functional, with an emphasis on using a bank account in the modern financial world. The class will also cover the basics of Savings and tools, resources, and tactics to improving your ability to save.

Classes will be virtual via Webex from 10am-12pm.

Do you want or need to improve your credit score? Credit as an Asset can help you build your path to financial stability. Bank On Louisville’s Credit as an Asset is a FREE workshop for people who want to gain new information and tools to build or rebuild a good credit history.

Community financial Empowerment Certification Program

The Community Financial Empowerment Certification (CFEC) Program offers trainings for those looking to expand their ability to do financial empowerment work with their clients or in their agency. Expand your own knowledge of personal finance and economic decision-making and learn how to help clients with financial issues such as budgeting, saving, and spending. There are two levels of certification.

Level 1 Certification is available on Google Classroom, which is self-guided and self-paced. All parts must be completed for certification. Join the Google Classroom using code qblrz57.

Level 2 Certification is available to those who have completed Level 1 Certification. To receive Level 2 Certification, attend at least three Level 2 classes within 12 months. Level 2 classes are offered on a variety of topics via virtual sessions. Level 2 classes can be attended by anyone regardless of certification status, but only participants who have already completed Level 1 Certification will receive Level 2 credit for them.
