Mayor Greg Fischer joined community partners in announcing the start of free federal and state income tax preparation assistance for eligible residents, including VITA, AARP Tax Aide, and the new Tax Time Connect initiative.
Tax Time Connect is a new initiative between the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) and Bank on Louisville’s Banking Access work. The goal is to help Louisville residents file their taxes and create a bank account with a certified financial institution, if they don’t have one already.
